GE reaches out to students of Al Manzil School for Special Needs with ‘build a bike’ CSR initiative

As part of its corporate social responsibility commitment, GE (NYSE: GE) along with its channel partners, joined hands and reached out to special needs students at Al Manzil School in Sharjah.

Al Manzil School is a professional care-giving and learning environment for individuals with special needs to nurture their potential & develop the requisite self-help, social, educational & vocational skills.

The ‘build a bike’ initiative was held as part of the Energy Management Middle East and Africa Channel Summit held in Dubai. During the three-day event, various channel partners and GE employees worked together on building the bikes.

Dr. Ayesha Saeed Husaini, the school’s manager.

GE coordinates volunteer efforts company-wide and with its partners by keeping a close eye on societal needs and invites all employees to build stronger communities where the company serves in. GE’s employees volunteer over one million hours of community service every year.
