Under the Patronage of H.E. Dr. Mohammed bin Saleh Al-Sada, Minister of Energy & Industry, Qatar, the 5th Offshore Middle East Conference and Exhibition will return to Doha from 26th– 28th January 2015 at the Qatar National Convention Centre.
Building on the success of last year’s conference and exhibition, which attracted over 1,500 attendees and 38 speakers from more than 50 countries, the conference programme of the 2015 Offshore Middle East Conference and Exhibition will focus on “optimizing performance”.
“Upstream investment in the Middle East will continue rising as the industry relies more heavily on conventional oil and gas resources to meet long-term demand, said David Paganie, Director, Offshore Conferences, PennWell Corporation. “At the upcoming conference, thought leaders from national and international operating companies will share case studies, lessons learned, and emerging technological solutions for new and existing offshore fields with the goal of educating delegates on optimizing performance and maximizing investment.”
Highlights of 2015 Offshore Middle East include a keynote address from H.E. Dr. Mohammed bin Saleh Al-Sada, Minister of Energy & Industry, Qatar, and the Offshore Middle East Student Paper Programme.
The purpose of the Student Paper Programme is to showcase regional engineering talent and student development at regional universities. The Programme is also designed to bring university students together with technical experts in their fields of study and to allow regional oil and gas companies to identify future talent.
The Student Paper Programme is currently soliciting submissions for technical papers pertaining to field development, drilling & completion, facilities engineering, flow assurance, pipeline construction & installation, platform construction & installation, subsea technology, reservoir management, production optimization, asset integrity, well control, and other relevant topics.
All selected papers will be displayed in the exhibition poster area where students will be able to discuss their papers with event delegates. The deadline for submission is 15th December 2014.
“The growth potential of offshore-related industries means that industry leaders must identify and maintain the best talent in order to stay competitive,” said David Paganie. “The Student Paper Programme is a unique initiative that enables ambitious students to connect with growing companies looking for their next leaders. We look forward to facilitating new opportunities for Qatari youth and for promoting the potential of offshore-related industries with students looking to make the most out of their careers.”
The 5th Offshore Middle East is the premier event dedicated to the offshore exploration and production industries of the Gulf region, providing excellent networking opportunities and a forum for the sharing of ideas and experiences.
The delegate early bird discount offering is available until 6th January 2015 and visitor registration is free before 22nd January 2015.
