A car presented as the grand prize “Aljomaih Automotive” sponsors Aanaab Platform contest

Within the framework of cooperation between Aljomaih Automotive Company (AAC), the largest dealer for General Motors in Saudi Arabia and the Middle East, and Emkan Education Company, a special ceremony was held for honoring winners of contest “Aanaab Educational Platform”, the first electronic market in the Arab world for buying, selling and sharing learning resources.  The ceremony, which was held in Makarem Ballroom in Riyadh, was attended by a group of education sector concerned people and the press.

The ceremony began with a speech from Sheikh Mosaed Aljomaih, Assistant of Chief Operation Officer in Riyadh, where he underlined the importance of Aanaab Platform project for the future of education development in Saudi Arabia and the Arab world, and its lead role in empowering teachers and encourage them to distinct educational content industry and diversify sources of income. He further assured the keen interest of AAC in all educational initiatives, especially the initiatives which are in line with the Saudi economic Vision 2030. He, as well, appreciated the efforts of this initiative for granting the opportunity to support its community programs to create modern opportunities for the development of all aspects of education in Saudi Arabia.

Meanwhile, Aanaab Platform co-founder Dr. Monira Jamjoom,  presented an introductory speech about Aanaab Platform, where she pointed out that Aanaab Education Platform, which was launched by Emkan Education Company, is the first market for buying, selling and sharing learning resources in the Arab world, and that Aanaab contest comes to develop education as part of Emkan Educational Company initiative to stimulate learning,  and encourage workers in this sector, and added that they look forward to providing a mechanism for sharing and selling distinctive educational resources among teachers in order  to improve the learning process, as well as  providing different learning experience for hundreds for thousands of Arab students, both male and female, in addition to providing an additional source of income for teachers in the Arab world. The basic criteria for the contest were number of downloads of teacher uploaded contents, as well as the rating of the contents.

Afterward, the names of the first three places winners announced, where mathematics teacher Fatima AL Ghobari, from Najran, came first and won the grand prize, which was a Chevrolet Spark 2017, presented by AAC, the official sponsor of the contest. Meanwhile, the English teacher Etab Amouri, who lives in Dubai, came second and won SR. 5000 in cash, while the graphic designer Nour Alsawadi, who lives in Jeddah, came third and won SR. 5000 in cash.

“AAC” sponsorship of this contest; falls within its corporate social responsibility, and its deep belief of the need to support educational initiatives for upgrading of the teacher’s skills and abilities, which comes in line with the Saudi Vision 2030.

On this occasion, Salah A. Al Obathani, Corporate Marketing & PR Manager at AAC, said:” AAC sponsorship of Aanaab initiative, was based on the creativity of its integrated tutorial program that aims to develop the skills of teachers, which eventually will improve educational programs based on 21st century skills. “

Aanaab Platform is the first online market for buying, selling and sharing learning resources in the Arab world. Aanaab Platform was well received by the Arab educational community from the moment of its launch in the last quarter of 2016, where its learning resources were downloaded thousands of times by teachers from Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Jordan and Morocco. Aanaab Platform aims at providing a mechanism to circle and distribute distinctive learning resources among teachers to improve the learning process, providing different learning experience for hundreds of thousands of Arab students, in addition to providing an additional source of income for teachers in the Arab world.
