IPTC 2022 set to take place under the patronage of HRH Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud, Crown Prince of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia

The 14th edition of the International Petroleum Technology Conference (IPTC) is set to take place 21–23 February 2022, in Riyadh, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia with Saudi Aramco as the exclusive host.

Founded in 2005, IPTC is a collaborative effort by the American Association of Petroleum Geologists (AAPG); the European Association of Geoscientists and Engineers (EAGE); the Society of Exploration Geophysicists (SEG); and the Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE). The scope of the conference programme and associated industry activities will address technology and relevant industry issues that challenge industry specialists and leaders around the world.

This year’s CEO plenary session on Leading the Global Recovery for a Sustainable Future, includes industry leaders like Amin H. The Diversity and Inclusion workshop will focus on key topics like tolerance to understanding, D&I initiatives that drive sustainable results, the future of artificial intelligence, equity versus equality, and more. The seminar on technology advances and energy transition for sustainability will give participants an overview of different initiatives related to sustainability such as leveraging carbon capture, utilisation, and storage to enable sustainable energy supply.

Education Week consists of multiple programmes for high school teachers, university students, and young professionals. Field Trips will take professional geoscientists and engineers of all exploration and production disciplines to areas of significant geological importance in Tuwaiq Mountain and Dahil Heet.
