Jeddah, Saudi Arabia: 08 April, 2013:Amadeus, a leading transaction processor and technology partner to the global travel and tourism industry, today concluded the first of its three cityAmadeus Technology Show in Saudi Arabia.
Held in partnership with Saudi Arabian Airlines (Saudia), the event seeks toshowcase the latest innovative technology products and solutions that empower the industry to better manage their businesses and effectively serve their travellers.
The secondAmadeus Technology Showraised curtains at the Hilton hotel in Jeddah while the second and third are set to take place at Al Faisaliah Hotel in Riyadh on 14 April and at the Holiday Inn, Al Khobar, in Dammam on 16 April.

As part of its showcase,Amadeus ishighlighting 17 different products and solutions including front-office products and business management, m-commerce and e-commerce solutions. Attendees additionally are gaining the opportunity to better understand the Amadeus business through an induction that underscores the key objectives of the event and the role of each Amadeus department.
The event is bringing together top decision makers and finance managers of travel agencies from all segments, including non-Amadeus customers. In addition, senior executives from the travel and tourism industry including Saudia, Arab Air Carriers Organisation (AACO), General Authority of Civil Aviation (GACA) and Saudi Commission for Tourism and Antiquities (SCTA) are also evincing high interest in the Amadeus Technology Show.
Participants at the Riyadh leg of the showwill also see industry leaders headline a panel discussion titled “What is the future of the Saudi Arabian Travel and Tourism Industry?” The conversationwill be held at Omsiat Ballroom B in Riyadh’s Al Faisaliah Hotel.
Bukhari added: “Our focus this year is relatively wider in that we acknowledge the importance of engaging industry leaders and initiating a dialogue on issues that directly impact different sectors of the travel and tourism industry.
