Naseej explores the realm of the fashion world

Inspired by the close-knit bond of a single
fabric swatch, Naseej is a fashion experience that promises to
connect and bring closer the creative community, under shared
values of sustainable homegrown fashion, highlighting all the
different moving parts that make up the fashion world we see today.
In collaboration with Menna, a regional fashion e-commerce platform, Spectra, an
event’s execution business, we are bringing this one-of-a-kind experience event to
Riyadh.
Taking place at AlMashtal on the 15th and 16th of March, Naseej is curated to
showcase the hidden gems of the Arab creative and fashion scene. AlMashtal
Co-Founder stated, “We are setting out to showcase the importance of the whole
ecosystem for sustainability and growth of our home-grown creative economies
with a focused spotlight on the growing rich fashion scene in the Kingdom and
wider region. In celebration of our diverse talents, we have put together a unisex
fashion experience that incorporates a multi-brand fashion runway, along with
experience corners for styling and photography that are meant to provide customers
with the opportunity of experiencing getting styled and photographed
professionally.”
The selected creatives range from fashion designers in Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Jordan,
other GCC countries, local male and female models by Mastery Modeling Agency,
the Photography of Obad Films, Aflam, and styled by Zina Keilany. Embracing a
variety of 21 fashion brands covering demi-couture, kaftans, urban wear,
activewear, formal wear by Hindamme, A Double-A, Proud Angeles, House of Laith,
Third Eye, Jadeed Labs, Arak Studio, and many more.
Attending this experience is a selected crowd of fashion influencers, industry
professionals, members of the media, and local designers, as well as socialites for a
private gala dinner hosted in a unique pavilion draped in fabric strings.
Supported by Nova as the Hydration Partner, the two-day event is set to engage
the broader community in a setup that allows visitors to experience the runway,
model their looks, and purchase the looks they like on the spot from the spot sales
gallery. The second day provides the opportunity to also participate in an intimate
discussion about the challenges of slow fashion in a fast consumerized fashion
world.
Khawla Al Shaikh, the founder of Menna, has pointed out that this experience will
benefit fashion designers, designers, and professionals: “These experiences and
happenings are essential to connect with industry professionals and open up
opportunities for unique, talented designers and creators to participate and present
themselves to the world. We are looking forward to meeting new designers and
growing our creative community collaboratively. “

AlMashtal is an all-rounded initiative supporting creatives and entrepreneurs founded by
Noura Saud and Alaa Ghanimah, the first of its kind in Saudi Arabia. The team comprises
local visionaries who follow the same mission of supporting home-grown talents to build
our creative industry. AlMashtal upcycled an 80s children’s school into a hub fostering a
library, gallery, fabrication lab, and members club; following a zero-waste policy, they
managed to preserve the original buildings on site.
