Once again the German Catalogue Show, organized by the German-Saudi Arabian Liaison Office for Economic Affairs (AHK Saudi Arabia), was a huge success. This year the product portfolio of the 18 German exhibiting companies ranges from construction, engineering, healthcare, paint, industrial automation and food to sewage systems and higher education.
More than 100 high-ranking representatives of Saudi Arabian companies attended the event in Jazan Chamber of Commerce on the 18th of September. It was the third city after the catalogue show was held in Riyadh and the Eastern province on the 27th and 28th of May. The opening ceremony was held by Mr. Andreas Hergenroether, Delegate of German Industry and Commerce for Saudi Arabia and Yemen and Mr. Nasser Abdo Moraie, Chairman of the Chamber of Commerce in Jazan. Mr. Eng. Ahmed Mohammed Al-Qunfodi, General Secretary of the Chamber of Commerce in Jazan. Volkswagen Saudi Arabia and Zarka Al Yamama were the platinum sponsors of the event.
“At today’s catalogue show, Saudi businessmen have the unique opportunity to see a wide range of high quality products “Made in Germany” that correspond with the growing demand of transfer of technology in KSA”, Andreas Hergenröther stated in his opening speech. He added that the Catalogue Show is not just a presentation of German products and companies but also a proof of the long lasting and sustainable economic partnership between Saudi Arabia and Germany. “German-Saudi business relations are traditionally sustainable and win-win-partnerships”, Andreas Hergenröther expressed his confidence in the quality of German-Saudi business relations.
The Catalogue Show was established in 2006 and turned out to be a great success. It offers an outstanding opportunity for German companies to get in touch with the Saudi market. The Catalogue Show creates and deepens relations between German companies seeking to enter the Saudi market, and Saudi companies looking for new and innovative products and partners.
