With 394 rooms and suites, the Palace has been carefully designed and furnished to offer guests superior comfort and luxury.

Treat your taste buds to a culinary adventure all around the world in one of the fourteen restaurants and lounges throughout the Palace.  Emirates Palace Camel Burger

Taste the rich flavours of the region with the Emirates Palace signature dish, the 23 karat gold Camel Burger. A unique Arabic twist on a classic American favourite, the sumptuous camel mince patty is infused with local spices and offset by a touch of truffle mayonnaise on a gold-dusted bun.

As the juice dribbles down your chin, savour the tender meat with locally inspired condiments. Enjoy homemade Arabic pickles, traditional taboule salad, fried onion, and mozzarella cheese. As an added creative twist, chickpea fritters dusted in gold provide an authentic Arabic taste in an unconventional form.

The signature Camel Burger was created and introduced in 2012, after several months of culinary brain-storming, endless tasting-sessions and a hotly-contested qualifying heat by competing teams from the hotel’s restaurants. In celebration of locally produced products, a total of twenty options were narrowed down to five, from which the victorious burger was announced. The signature Camel Burger is now a popular item on the Le Cafe, BBQ Al Qasr, Mezlai, pool bars and in-room dining menus, and a must-try item at Emirates Palace.

QNB Group inaugurates its Riyadh branch in Saudi Arabia QNB Group CEO: Entry into the Saudi market is due to QNB’s competitive edge

QNB Group, the largest financial institution in the Middle East and Africa, has inaugurated its branch in Riyadh, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA). Senior bank officials and distinguished representatives from the banking and business sectors attended an inauguration ceremony held under the patronage and presence of H.E. Dr. Ahmed bin Abdul Karim Al-Khulaifi, Governor of the Saudi Arabian Monetary Authority (SAMA), H.E. Sheikh Abdullah Bin Saud Al Thani, Governor of Qatar Central Bank, Mr. Ali Ahmed Al-Kuwari, QNB Group CEO, and a number of Qatari diplomats.

Through its branch, located in the Saudi Capital of Riyadh, and its business hub extending along King Fahd road, QNB Group will provide a comprehensive suite of banking products and services to individuals, businesses, and government departments. This complements its extensive expertise in wealth and investment portfolio management, project finance, smart banking solutions, and assorted innovative banking products and services that meet the requirements of the KSA market.

On this occasion, Mr. Ali Ahmed Al-Kuwari, QNB Group CEO, hailed the inauguration of this new branch, pointing out the Group’s access into the KSA market is part of the Group’s strategic plan to be present in all markets that have a strong and resilient economy. The KSA is one of these economies, especially considering its ranking among the world’s 20 strongest economies.”

Mr. Al Kuwari added: “Through our presence in Riyadh, we strive to become a major partner in promoting KSA’s economic development by providing banking solutions to individuals, businesses, and government departments in both KSA and Qatar. This is in line with the Group’s successful expansion of its global reach in Asia, Europe, and the Middle East and North Africa region. QNB Group’s successful expansion is the result of well-researched risk management policy, as well as the forward-looking strategies that aim at diversifying our activities in Qatar and abroad.”

Al Kuwari also praised the Saudi government for its support of the banking industry, as evidenced by the implementation of streamlined procedures for the establishment of foreign banks, and for facilitating the authorization process to open a branch for the Bank in the Kingdom. He added: “We convey our warmest regards to the government of the Custodian of the two Holy Mosques as represented by the Saudi Arabian Monetary Authority (SAMA) and its staff.”

QNB Group successfully maintained the highest brand value in the Middle East and North Africa, thus strengthening its position in the region. Furthermore, the Group maintained a high credit rating, considered one of the best in the region according to a number of leading global rating agencies such as Standard & Poor’s (+A), Moody’s (Aa3), Fitch (-AA), and Capital Intelligence (-AA).

Sony Mobile achieves profitability goals this year The Middle East & Africa region is a strategically important growth market for Sony Mobile Xperia XZ Premium, winner of several top industry awards including ‘Best Smartphone at MWC 2017’, leads innovation push

Sony Mobile Communications has shown strong global financial performance by reporting a profit of 10.2 Billion Yen (US$ 91 Million) this year, as per financial results from the company.

Continuing its growth trend, Sony Mobile expects to increase annual smartphone unit sales by 1.9 million year-on-year, mainly in the Middle East and Europe, to 16.5 million units. Sales revenue is expected to increase 8 per cent year-on-year to 820 Billion Yen, which will be a record operating income for Sony Mobile.

Sony Mobile has put emphasis on higher value-added models to achieve profitability. Operating results improved significantly mainly due to a reduction in operating costs and benefit from restructuring initiatives. Further improvement in profitability resulted from a concentration on fewer geographic areas and a reduction in restructuring charges.

Jason Smith, Vice President, Middle East & Africa at Sony Mobile Communications said: “Advances included in our new smartphones have positioned us as a technological leader in the global market and our innovation gives us confidence for the future. Our latest award-winning smartphone, Xperia XZ Premium, features the world’s 1st Super slow motion video capture via a smartphone at 960 frames per second, four times slower than with any other smartphone. Other products to address the mid-range of the market launched this year include Xperia XA1, the XA1 Ultra and the Xperia L1.”

Hideyuki Furumi, Executive Vice President, Global Sales & Marketing, Sony Mobile Communications said: “We are committed to the vision of offering personalised and intelligent products to the market and continue to push the boundaries of communication through cutting-edge technologies. We are developing Artificial Intelligence apps on our phones. We have continued to evolve and transform our smartphone portfolio, with an unwavering focus on delivering the most advanced technology in elegantly designed products. We expect to see a good next year financially, with a range of new products and increasing smartphone unit sales.”

Sony Corporation, of which Sony Mobile is a division, is targeting its highest annual operating profit in two decades, thanks to continued dominance in gaming and strong growth in phone-camera chips. Operating profit is on track to reach 500 Billion Yen for the fiscal year through March 2018, which will be more than that posted in any year since 1998.
