Al-Jazeera Paints, the high quality paints industry giant in the Middle East and surrounding regions announced the organization of its “2nd Saudi Paints and Colors conference 2013″ during the period 13-15 of April in Prince Sultan Hall located at Al Faisaliyah Hotel, Al Riyadh with the participation of 28 researchers from 8 Arabic and foreign countries alongside a large number of Engineers, Consultants, and Construction stakeholders.
Mr. Saud Bin Abdulla Al Rumaih, Al-Jazeera Paints General Manager explained that the organizing of the 2nd paints and colors conference stems from a solid conviction at Al-Jazeera Paints in the necessity to enrich scientific research. He further said that the outstanding success of the first Saudi conference for paints and colors which was held in Abha city during last may encouraged us to hold the 2nd conference. He noted that the company looks forward to contribute to enhance the culture of high quality paints and its to play a role in preserving the buildings, premises and increase their life expectancy in the construction and industrial sectors in the Kingdom catering for all segments of the society.
“This conference is another step forward in the development of the paint industry in the Kingdom. We have expanded it quantitatively and qualitatively as the number of research papers reached 28 discussing a number of topics, among them; Colors and Psychological Impact, Paints: Quality, Testing Methods and Raw Material, Environment and Green Buildings Paints and Surfaces and Coating (Concrete, Metals, and Wood).” Moreover, more researchers and experts from several scientific institutes, universities, industrial sector and construction backgrounds hailing from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Jordan, Egypt, United Arab Emirates, Austria, Britain, Spain and Germany have participated in the conference.” Al Rumaih added.
Al Rumaih pointed out that Al-Jazeera Paints Academy, the first specialized academy in education, training, and application of paints in the region was behind the organization of this event, citing that the gap between academic research and real life application must be bridged in addition to the rising need to emulate and provide all that is new and advanced in the world of paint.
He added that the company seeks to promote the academy as a scientific center in the field of paints. To do that, the academy engages in many training activities in all paint related aspects both theoretical and practical, noting that the academy opened several branches in many large cities in the Kingdom.
